Position Overview
Position Overview: This position is to lead the Human Resources and Training Department, and to ensure the proper application and implementation of the policies and procedures of Shaw Industries Group, Inc. The Human Resources Manager will act as an employee advocate while administering company policies in a fair and consistent manner. The Human Resources Manager will also lead the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE Model) of training throughout the facility.
Responsibilities: The Human Resources Manager will cultivate a safe, honest and open team environment where all associates are engaged and aligned with the facility?s business goals. The Human Resources Manager will directly impact these goals through focused efforts in talent management, risk assessments, and change leadership.
Responsibilities also include:
+ Functions: Staffing - filling needs for salary and hourly openings.
+ Investigations both internal, hotline, etc. Correction Action Administration.
+ FMLA Administration. Workers? Comp.
+ Recognition program development and implementation.
+ Policy Administration. Ensuring Compliance with state and federal laws.
+ Assess employee attitudes and culture
+ First level coaching and development of plant staff.
+ Responds to the changes in the business.
+ Conflict Management.
+ Communicate policies/procedures/employee benefits, compensation, etc.
+ Identify & develop a strategy for Training & Development.
+ Ensure Shaw?s SAFE System is implemented, maintained, and sustained.
+ Analyze training needs to develop new training programs. Develop and champion the On-The-Job training program, including the certified OJT program.
+ Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs for the Management team.
+ Partner with the Shaw Learning Academy to facilitate/oversee programs such as new associate orientation, on-the-job training, health and safety practices, management development, team building, changes in policies, procedures, and technologies.

Requirements:
+ 4 year degree required
+ Previous HR Generalist/Training experience required.
Preferred Skills:
+ Bilingual(English, Spanish) preferred
+ Minimum 3 years HR/Training experience preferred
Work Shift
8 hour, day shift

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
